Highland Berry LLC
Our Story
Soaring at altitudes of up to 2,300m, our high-end beans are grown in the highlands of Yirgacheffe, in SNNPR Ethiopia, which is world renowned for coffee with a distinct flavor. The processing station and farmland is a total of 22 Ha. Our processing site is located at an altitude of 1,950m, and the coffee trees are planted in the surrounding mountains. In addition to the berries grown from our farms, we source red cherries from smallholders in the Gedeo zone and process them on our site.
Our farmers are the Gedeo people from Konga kebele. The Gedeo villagers are the backbone of our business. Coffee is their heritage. They have been farming for decades using techniques that have been handed down over generations. Preserving this heritage, our farmers have integrated these methods and enhanced them with sustainable practices. Each berry is hand-picked, washed and sun dried with utmost care and dedication.
